Celebrating Mark Twain’s Bermudian Legacy

To build awareness of Mark Twain’s ties to Bermuda, BNL and CedarBridge Academy hosted an event in November 2015 with international Twain expert Cindy Lovell to discuss Twain’s connections to the island and the role of Bermuda in the lives of writers.

Rewarding Excellence in Writing

CedarBridge Academy nurtures and celebrates student writers by giving annual prizes and awards for excellence in student writing through graduation prizes and the “I am a Writer” programme. The year-long “I am a Writer” programme identifies and celebrates students who achieve various levels of writing proficiency. In addition, Read•Write•Bermuda provides professional development resources to help teachers at CedarBridge Academy enhance their skills in supporting student writing.
